Which societies accept CWR?

Nearly every collecting society in the CISAC world takes its work registrations in CWR 2.1 or 2.2 — the standard that displaced the proprietary formats of the 1990s — but how a file reaches each society differs, and that routing is what actually decides who validates your data. Four patterns recur: the MusicMark joint venture (ASCAP/BMI/SOCAN), the shared ICE database (PRS/GEMA/STIM), classic direct delivery, and — across most of Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East — registration by a local sub-publisher working from your CWR. Every society below links to its own page, with its history and how CWR reaches it.

What about CWR 3.x?

CISAC has published CWR 3.0/3.1, but production acceptance around the world remains 2.1 and 2.2. When societies move, the tools will move with them.

Files bound for any of them can be checked free on the validator.
