CWR for TONO

TONO administers performance rights in Norway. Norway's PRO.

History

Founded in 1928, TONO pairs with NCB for mechanical rights like its neighbours and is one third of the Polaris Nordic alliance with KODA and Teosto — three societies sharing infrastructure while remaining independent.

CWR at TONO

CWR delivery follows the Nordic pattern: one registration covering performance at TONO and mechanicals via NCB.

Publishers deliver CWR files to TONO directly (as members, affiliates, or sub-publishers). Like nearly every CISAC society, TONO works in the CWR 2.1 / 2.2 era — the versions in production use worldwide since the standard displaced the proprietary registration formats of the 1990s. Per-society delivery profiles do change, so confirm the current version and any local quirks before a first delivery.
