CWR for BUMA/STEMRA
BUMA/STEMRA administers performance (BUMA) and mechanical (STEMRA) rights in Netherlands. Two organizations run as one.
History
BUMA was founded in 1913 for performance rights and STEMRA in 1936 for mechanicals; they have operated jointly for decades from Hoofddorp, covering one of Europe's most digitally advanced music markets.
CWR at BUMA/STEMRA
One CWR registration covers both organizations — the Dutch market's two right types in a single delivery.
Publishers deliver CWR files to BUMA/STEMRA directly (as members, affiliates, or sub-publishers). Like nearly every CISAC society, BUMA/STEMRA works in the CWR 2.1 / 2.2 era — the versions in production use worldwide since the standard displaced the proprietary registration formats of the 1990s. Per-society delivery profiles do change, so confirm the current version and any local quirks before a first delivery.
