CWR for IMRO

IMRO administers performance rights in Ireland. The Irish Music Rights Organisation.

History

Irish performance rights were administered from London by PRS until IMRO took over domestically in the mid-1990s; the two remain closely aligned, and Irish mechanicals run through MCPS Ireland.

CWR at IMRO

UK/Ireland repertoire often reaches IMRO alongside a PRS delivery; IMRO takes CWR in the standard pattern.

Publishers deliver CWR files to IMRO directly (as members, affiliates, or sub-publishers). Like nearly every CISAC society, IMRO works in the CWR 2.1 / 2.2 era — the versions in production use worldwide since the standard displaced the proprietary registration formats of the 1990s. Per-society delivery profiles do change, so confirm the current version and any local quirks before a first delivery.
