CWR for SACM
SACM administers performance rights in Mexico. Mexico's society of authors and composers.
History
SACM's roots go back to 1945 and the Mexican union of music authors; its modern legal form as a public-interest collective management society dates to 2007. It anchors one of Latin America's largest music markets.
CWR at SACM
Foreign repertoire generally reaches SACM through Latin-American sub-publishing arrangements and reciprocal agreements rather than direct foreign CWR deliveries — your sub-publisher registers locally, usually working from the CWR you supply.
Like nearly every CISAC society, SACM works in the CWR 2.1 / 2.2 era — the versions in production use worldwide since the standard displaced the proprietary registration formats of the 1990s. Per-society delivery profiles do change, so confirm the current version and any local quirks before a first delivery.
