CWR for APRA AMCOS
APRA AMCOS administers performance and mechanical rights in Australia / New Zealand. One organization covering both right types for two countries.
History
APRA was founded in 1926 — it marked its centenary in 2026 — and AMCOS, the mechanical society, in 1979; they merged operations in 1997 after members asked for one door to knock on. The combined organization covers Australia and New Zealand as a single territory pair.
CWR at APRA AMCOS
APRA AMCOS takes CWR directly from publishers in the standard CISAC pattern; one registration covers both right types and both countries.
Publishers deliver CWR files to APRA AMCOS directly (as members, affiliates, or sub-publishers). Like nearly every CISAC society, APRA AMCOS works in the CWR 2.1 / 2.2 era — the versions in production use worldwide since the standard displaced the proprietary registration formats of the 1990s. Per-society delivery profiles do change, so confirm the current version and any local quirks before a first delivery.
