NWR / REV — work registration

The heart of CWR: one NWR (new work) or REV (revised work) line opens each registration, carrying the title, your submitter work number, the ISWC if one exists, and distribution category. ISW and EXC share the same layout for ISWC notifications and works in conflict.

The exact field layout — positions, sizes, and formats — is defined in CISAC's CWR specification (CWR19-1070R1), available to CISAC members and licensees. The validator implements the full layout: drop a file on it and every NWR / REV / ISW / EXC line is parsed field by field, with problems tied to the exact characters at fault.
