ACK / MSG — society response

When a society processes your file it answers with an ACK transaction per original transaction: the status (accepted, rejected, conflict…), MSG lines detailing any problems, and a copy of the original transaction as received. Note that embedded originals keep the original file's sequence numbers.

The exact field layout — positions, sizes, and formats — is defined in CISAC's CWR specification (CWR19-1070R1), available to CISAC members and licensees. The validator implements the full layout: drop a file on it and every ACK / MSG line is parsed field by field, with problems tied to the exact characters at fault.
